This rosary is made in the Anglican style with 4 sets of 7 beads in the loop. The smaller beads are 8 mm mahogany obsidian round beads, the large beads are 10 mm obsidian round beads, and they are separated by 3 mm imitation nickel (zinc-based) plated round beads and 4 mm obsidian round beads, all strung on 49-strand wire with a nylon coating.
The cross is approximately 1.75 inches long and is made from antiqued pewter (tin-based) with a round black resin inset. The entire rosary is approximately 11 inches from the bottom of the cross to the top of the loop when stretched out long.
Mahogany obsidian is a naturally occurring stone and therefore contains natural color variations from bead to bead, but is generally a deep reddish-brown volcanic glass stone with black woodgrain-like inclusions and streaks.
